Overview

The programme has been designed for the Software Engineers who can collaborate with others in effective teams to produce reliable, robust software on time and on budget are in very high demand.

The BSc (Hons) Cyber Security and Networking aims to equip graduates with the knowledge, technical and interpersonal skills necessary for taking part in the design, implementation, management and security of modern computer systems. It will enable them to work as professionally-minded cyber security practitioners able to meet the responsibilities and challenges demanded in the cyber security industry.

Entry requirements

Learner must possess:
● Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 3 Award/Diploma or at the level of GCE/GCSE or Secondary education/ high school or any equivalent qualification
or
● Work experience of 2 years or more in case you do not hold any formal qualification
and
● Learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course

The programme consists of 2 stages.

Stage 1 leads to award of 240 credits Level 4 + Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology

Assessment

The evaluation process is conducted through the submission of assignments, and there are no written examinations involved.

Accreditation

 Stage 1 (Delivered by LSIB):
The programme involves delivery through on-line Learning Management System (LMS). This stage leads to award of Level 4 + Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology - You will earn 240 credits (120 ECTS).

Stage 2 (Delivered by the University / awarding body)
On completion of the diploma programme you progress / Top up with Degree through a UK University for progression to the BSc (Hons) Business Computing and Information Systems. The stage 2 is delivered via distance learning by faculties from the University / awarding body. Credits earned at this stage - 120 credits (60 ECTS).
