Overview

The programme has been designed for the Software Engineers who can collaborate with others in effective teams to produce reliable, robust software on time and on budget are in very high demand.

BEng Software Engineering will develop your skills in analysis, design, programming, testing and evaluation. You will learn to produce secure, high quality, usable and adaptable software systems.

This programme will also develop your skills in analysis, design, programming, testing and evaluation to produce software solutions, ensuring you have all the necessary skills to flourish in your career through 2 stage intensive, immersive, and challenging programme.

Software engineering is a fast-paced, intriguing topic of study that involves designing high-quality, secure, and dependable software systems.

The curriculum teaches you how to take a professional approach to the whole software development process, from gathering requirements to designing functionality and interfaces to implementing the final product using industry best practises.

Entry requirements

Learner must possess:
● Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 3 Award/Diploma or at the level of GCE/GCSE or Secondary education/ high school or any equivalent qualification
or
● Work experience of 2 years or more in case you do not hold any formal qualification
and
● Learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course

Course Content

The programme consists of 2 stages.

Stage 1 leads to award of 240 credits Level 4 + Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology

Stage 2 leads to award of BEng Software Engineering Degree
● Agile Programming 30 Credits
● Enterprise Systems Analysis 30 Credits
● Dissertation 60 Credits❯ Successful completion of Stage 2 leads to award of Degree by the university.

Assessment

The evaluation process is conducted through the submission of assignments, and there are no written examinations involved.

The programme is available in two duration modes:

18 Months: GBP £7700
24 Months: GBP £7500
This programme does not have any additional costs.
The fee is payable in monthly, quarterly, half yearly instalments.
You can avail 5% discount if you pay the full fee upfront in 1 instalment

24 Months - GBP £7500

● Payment option (b) - GBP £1750 x 2 half yearly instalments
● Payment option (c) - GBP £3325 x 1 instalment (We offer 5% bursary on total fee for students opting to pay in full)

Stage 2: GBP £4000 (Duration: 12 months)

Accreditation

 Stage 1 (Delivered by LSIB):
The programme involves delivery through on-line Learning Management System (LMS). This stage leads to award of Level 4 + Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology - You will earn 240 credits (120 ECTS).

Stage 2 (Delivered by the University / awarding body)
On completion of the diploma programme you progress / Top up with Degree through a UK University for progression to the BEng Software Engineering degree. The stage 2 is delivered via distance learning by faculties from the University / awarding body. Credits earned at this stage - 120 credits (60 ECTS).
