MSc Project Management qualification has been designed to meet the growing need for for quality and effective project management across wide range of businesses worldwide. The qualification equips students with the necessary skills and abilities to enable them to undertake complex business planning relevant to the modern global business environment.

This qualification will develop a deeper understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of project, programme and portfolio management and facilitate the essential skills and competences necessary to plan, monitor, control and deliver successful projects, programmes and portfolios.

The programme is taught in two stages
● Stage 1 is designed to meet the needs of senior managers responsible for projects and provide a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental topics needed to manage business projects within a complex and ever-changing environment.

● Stage 2 consists of 12000 word dissertation along with a programme manager and a dedicated supervisor who will be with you every step of the way.

Entry requirements

The Learners must possess:
● Level 6 Award/Diploma or a bachelors degree or any other equivalent qualification
or
● 5 years or more of work experience in case you do not hold any formal qualification
and
● Learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course.

Course Content

You will typically complete this course in 12-24 months. It has a two stages:

This is a 2 stage programme, which leads to combined total of 180 credits.

Stage 1 (Level 7 Diploma stage - 120 credits)
● Planning, Controlling and Leading a Project (30 credits)
● Procurement Risk and Contract Management (30 credits)
● Advanced Project and Logistics Management (20 credits)
● Operations and Information Management for Project Managers (20 credits)
● Advanced Research Methods (20 credits)
[Successful completion of Stage 1 leads to progression to Stage 2]

Stage 2 (University stage)
● Dissertation Project
[Successful completion of Stage 2 leads to award of Degree by the university]

Assessment

The evaluation process is conducted through the submission of assignments, and there are no written examinations involved.

Accreditation

 Stage 1 (Delivered by LSIB):
The programme involves delivery through on-line Learning Management System (LMS). This stage leads to award of Level 7 Diploma in Project Management. The total credits earned will be up to 120 credits.

Stage 2 (Delivered by the University / awarding body)
On completion of the diploma programme you progress / Top up with Degree through a UK University for progression to the MSc in Project Management degree. Stage 2 is delivered via distance learning by faculties from the University. The total credits earned will be at least 60 credits.
