Course Content

 

1. Animation Principles: Students learn the foundational principles of animation, including timing, spacing, squash and stretch, anticipation, and follow-through. They understand the importance of these principles in creating believable and appealing animations.

2. Drawing Techniques: The program focuses on developing strong drawing skills, including figure drawing, anatomy, perspective, and composition. Students learn to create dynamic and expressive character designs and environments.

3. Storyboarding: Students gain knowledge and skills in storyboarding techniques, including creating effective compositions, framing shots, and conveying narrative through visuals. They learn to create storyboard sequences that effectively communicate the story and action.

4. Traditional Animation: Students explore the traditional animation process, including creating hand-drawn animations frame-by-frame. They learn about the use of light tables, exposure sheets, and traditional animation tools to bring their drawings to life.

5. Digital Animation: The program also includes training in digital animation techniques. Students learn to use industry-standard software and hardware for digital animation production. They explore techniques for creating 2D animations using digital tools.

6. Character Design: Students learn the art of character design, including creating unique and memorable characters. They study the fundamentals of character anatomy, expression, and personality. They also learn to develop character turnaround sheets and model sheets.

7. Animation Production: The program covers the various stages of animation production, from pre-production to post-production. Students gain an understanding of the workflow, collaboration, and time management required in animation projects.

8. Portfolio Development: Throughout the program, students work on building a portfolio of their animation work. They receive guidance on how to showcase their skills and present their work professionally to potential employers or clients.

The evaluation process is conducted through the submission of assignments, and there are no written examinations involved.
